A child with sunburn will be in pain and it'll be quite upsetting for you too. Don't let it happen - keep them out of the sun and covered up where-ever possible. Get them to wear a hat and use plenty of sun lotions to ensure they're fully covered.

Read the instructions on sun lotions. If it says to reapply every half an hour then do it! Re-apply when they get out of the sea or pool too.

Hats are essential - ones that cover up the face and neck are good.

Drink plenty of water - it's easy and saves those nasty headaches you can get from being dehyrdrated.

Look for trolley shades and UV play tents for the beach and garden. The less sun they get the better!
